Ferras Alqaisi, known as Ferras, is an American Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter who is signed with EMI as part of Capitol Records. Ferras was signed to EMI's Capitol Music Group after an audition for the label's chairman Jason Flom while on Spring Break from Berklee College of Music. Ferras then flew to New York City to cut the demos which would eventually form his debut album Aliens & Rainbows, which was released on March 11, 2008.
The first single from the album will be "Hollywood's Not America" (co-written by the Matrix' Lauren Christy), and was featured as the "exit song" of part of Season 7 of American Idol.
